The Autonomous Collective, a local collective that works on social
issues, has opened a single family home that is owned by a business
which has set empty for well over a year in the South of Market Area of
San Francisco. If you need housing and would like to help make this home
habitable please contact the Autonomous Collective Housing Working Group
at 415-867-6363 or via email at autonomouscollective [at] mutualaid.org or
stop by our office at 2940 16th St, Suite 216 in San Francisco's Mission
District (near 16th St Bart Station).

"It is reprehensible that businesses with no other interest then an
profit margin continue to hold onto vacant houses that can be used to
house the working poor, homeless and others in need of housing
assistance in the city of San Francisco. We have taken direct action to
open this space up for others to use as shelter out of moral outrage
that capitalism continues to be placed before the needs of people, we need to put the
humanity back into our society, people before profits, housing now. Building owners in San Francisco that let their buildings stand empty should be warned, either give the buildings over to people in need or we will take those buildings for peoples needs. Give it or guard it."
