D19-D21 transnational d.r.o.p. radio project (((i)))
Info on Indymedia webcasts from Argentina next week.
Dec. 19th-21st, 2002 marks one year from the two days that changed Argentinian history and world social movements. As part of the international days of action in support of the Argentinian people's struggles, on the air and on the web Indymedia will provide international distributed radio (Distributed Radio Open Project -- d.r.o.p. -- http://radio.indymedia.org/drop/).
The d.r.o.p. will start Thursday, Dec. 19th at 4 a.m. Pacific time and end Saturday, Dec. 21st at 1 p.m. Pacific time. Every hour we will make a news update in four languages (español, francais, english, italiano) of 2 minutes each. We will fill the remaining airtime with material from various independent and alternative sources on last year's events, as well as interviews from the street and analysis of what happens this year, and is going to happen in the next few months in Argentina.
Radio studios in Italy and Argentina will stream and broadcast material for 3 days, 24 hours a day: interviews from the street, reports, analysis, and some live comments in the studios which will try to cover the whole span of actions taking place all over the world (see http://december20.cjb.net/).
We invite everyone to publish audio and information on actions to the Argentina Indymedia center site and the Indymedia center near you.
You can listen to the Argentinian channel here:
