ChevronTexaco: Ecuador's Black Plague, a new video from Amazon Watch, premiered at the "Our People are Dying!" evening with Amazonian leaders and community activists confronting ChevronTexaco in the new International Campaign to get ChevronTexaco to CLEAN UP AND PAY UP!

The event was held on Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at the Women's Building as part of a week of action.

Please read about the terrible history of Chevron, Texaco and now ChevronTexaco at http://www.chevrontoxico.com/

This version of the video is undergoing some improvements and corrections, but is very much presentable. Encoded and posted by JM.

Tips on how to get the free RealVideo player to watch this video at 28K, 56K, or DSL speeds:

Thank you for posting that. It was doubtless a lot of work to get all that documentation of contamination given the repression of activists by the Ecuadorean government.

I hope this helps people put a human and ecological face on what's been going on the last 50 years. So tragic, so much destruction.

Is there a way to save this video to a disc or cd? Is there any other format to view it in besides real media?
