Sue at her vigil at the California State Capital in Sacramento on day 46 of her fast. Six days later she ended her fast at day 52. Sue was fasting to bring attention to the continued logging of old growth trees in California.

What's her last name, or how about that web address that's not readable in the picture? I'd like to know just so I can go read more about what she's doing.

I tried to google obvious combinations but didn't find anything with "sue" incorporated as a search term.

Cool pictures, by the way. There's a look of peace and goodness about her -- cynics may say all they like about we dastardly protestors, but no one can argue all that sour bile and bad attitude politics leads to a higher preponderance of angry looking folk

Thanks :-)

For old growth trees they are pretty quick. It's amazing how science has been able to help these trees stay in good running shape with the use of vitamin supplements.

Dear Sue,
Thank you for your devotion to the trees of California. Unless thousands more people discover the kind of inner courage you've shown, the wealthy and the poor alike may one day be perishing together under meters of melted glacial icewater. Concerned awareness is one (very good) thing; a lengthy hunger-strike is quite another. I'd never heard of you and your efforts until I happened to hit this website, but now I'm going to go tell my friends. So, in the isolation of your darker moments, please remember that you are respected, admired, and civically loved by many many more persons than you will ever actually hear from. THANK YOU.
