Employees of charities and non-profits are making big bucks
>>> N E W Y O R K, Dec. 3 — Despite an average 78 percent drop in profits, due largely to lousy performance of investment portfolios, the country's major nonprofits raised the pay of their highest-paid employee — usually the boss — by 8.5 percent. The average top salary was $319,180, up from the previous year's $294,221. <<<
This means those running charities have little incentive to end whatever cause they are supporting. For example, homeless charities don't really want to solve the homeless problem because it will put them out of work. How interesting that the people who make their living talking about how messed up the "system" is are making big bucks themselves.
I'm curious what others think in this regard.
