Israel invented bombing of school busses full of children

by oneworld
In 1982, Israelis killed 35 Lebanese children in a school bus bombed by a US F-16 jet fighter craft given to them freely by the US.
Israelis invented bombing of school busses.

"An American nurse working in Beirut, who was appalled by the 'watered-down descriptions in American newspapers,' reported that Israel 'dropped bombs on everything, including hospitals, orphanages and, in one case, a school bus carrying 35 young schoolgirls who were traveling on an open road'; she cared for the survivors.' The U.S. Navy Lieut. Commander in charge of removing unexploded ordnance in Beirut reports that 'we found five bombs in an orphanage with about 45 cluster bombs in the front yard. We were called there after five children were injured and four killed.' About 3-5% of the shells and bombs failed to go off and are considered highly dangerous, he said. This particular orphanage, then, must have been heavily bombed."

84 Palestinian children were killed in the first three months of the intifada before even a single Israeli child was ever killed.

In fact, more Palestinian children were killed in the first three months of the intifida (84) then Israeli children to date (80).

"Early in the morning of November 22, five Palestinian children were blown to pieces by an Israeli mine or bomb as they headed to school in Khan Younis. The children were 6 to 14 years-of-age, all from the Al Astel family. It is unclear if the explosion was set off by the children tripping over or kicking the device, or via remote control.

The next day, a senior Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) official was quoted on Israel Radio as saying "a big mistake was done." The officer admitted an undercover army unit planted the device "in the area," yet evaded any explanation as to why it was planted in the vicinity of a school. Yesterday, the IDF issued its first official statement regarding the killings. An IDF investigation revealed serious flaws in the planting and operation of the ordnance. Following the usual script, the IDF feigned "sorrow over the deaths of five children." The IDF claims the device was planted in an area used by Palestinians to fire mortars at nearby Israeli colonial settlements and army positions. Israel Radio quoted IDF officials as saying the "device was meant to remain well hidden and was to be set off when the Palestinian shooters returned to the area." (quoting Ha'aretz, 11/25/01)"

The above account shows that the IDF planted a remotely detonated bomb near a school and then set it off when five Palestinian children walked by it. Then came the denials and crying -- Israelis have a saying: "Shoot and cry," whereby they believe they can commit any number of crimes just by crying about it afterwards.

Basically, Israelis have brought this upon themselves by purposefully targetting children first. It is appalling that Palestinians should use the same tactics, and it IS terrorism, it's just that when Israelis do it (which is practically daily), the mainstream media in the US talks about a "relative calm" or "relative quiet" that was broken out of the blue when Palestinians finally respond in kind.

Again, so that no one mistakes what I'm saying, Palestinian killing of children is no different than Israeli killing of children except in the way it is portrayed in the media. By focussing on Palestinian terrorism while completely ignoring Israeli terrorism, the media gives the impression that Israelis are the main victims and attacks against them came out of the blue from nowhere.
