by Tenant Voter
GO-TV, Get Out The Vote, Five-Day Roundup is here, Nov. 1 through 5, 2002. The kickoff for the last four-day push is an election march on Saturday, November 2 at Noon from 24th and Mission to City Hall to protest Props N and R, the anti-tenant measures, and support Prop D, the public power initiative. Phone-banking and precinct-walking continue and we need you all four days to push the workingclass voters to the polls. To defeat Props N and R and pass Prop D, every single tenant voter must vote.

FINAL FIVE DAYS TO ELECTION DAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2002

On October 26, 2002, we had a glorious peace march of 100,000 of which we can all be proud as the host city for the largest West Coast peace march. To continue to be a home for a strong peace community, we must have rent control as the people who do most of the organizing for all the progressive causes, including for peace, are tenants and cannot afford to buy any property in San Francisco. To save rent control, we must defeat Prop R. We must also defeat Prop N, the anti-homeless tenants initiative, for it promotes the same fascist agenda as Prop R and is sponsored by the same ruling class. To put an end to this expensive insult of having a bankrupt incompetent profiteer, Pacific Gas & Electric Co., illegally provide energy to everything except public buildings and the Municipal Railway which already use public power, we have to pass Prop D.

DEFEAT THE FASCIST VOTE

This election marks the official appearance of the Fascist Vote, led by the Fascist Politicians Warmonger Senator Dianne Feinstein and Election-frauding Organized Crime Anti-Tenant Thug “mayor” Willie Brown, who have proudly shown their faces and/or given their names to the No on D, No on L, Yes on N and/or Yes on R campaigns, flooding our mailboxes with their slick mailers. These fascists and their lackeys, all whores of bankrupt PG&E, should never be allowed to hold elective office again. To be against public power in the 21st Century is to be profoundly backward, incompetent and viciously reactionary. The vicious attack on the workingclass, Props N and R, must be defeated with the largest voter turnout possible. We must send a clear, decisive message that the workingclass prevails in San Francisco.

DAILY WORK TO BE DONE
We Must Push Every Tenant Voter To The Polls To Defeat Props N&R And Pass Prop D

There are still key precincts to be walked and the phone banking will continue until election day, November 5, 2002 at 7:45 p.m. We also have locations for tabling this entire crucial weekend. We need you to do whatever you can to help push the voters to the polls. Most of the people reading this website are very politically aware and find it difficult to comprehend that anyone has to be pushed to the polls. I can assure you from many years of experience that the overwhelming majority of voters are just now becoming aware of what is on the ballot and it will take an extra push to actually get most tenant voters to the polls. VOTER TURNOUT IS DECISIVE. To find out how you can help, see the websites:

Tenant Voter recommends:
This tenant voter does not usually support bonds. It is far better if the money comes from the general fund and the sooner people send that message to the Legislature, etc., the sooner they will have to cut back on prisons, the police and the military.
California: Yes on 52, No on all the rest. (You would be safe in voting a Bingo No on the California propositions).
San Francisco: Please note, on Prop A, the water bond, tenants will be expected to pay for those bonds.
