Kiss of peace comes to Fresno as we rally 3 times in 2 days: once Friday, twice on Saturday in solidarity with demonstrations around the world to stop the Republican rush to an election war on Iraq. Friday eve at Peace Corner, Shaw & Blackstone, where we have rallied weekly since the Afgan bombing started over a year ago. Saturday morning in the Tower District and in the afternoon back at Peace Corner where a group of Fresno City College students among us organized with colorful signs and a kiss or more for peace. See us kiss. See us try to awaken our country at URL. Next step is to join the nationwide cyber referendum for peace which will collect millions of our signatures and take them to D.C. January 19-20 to present them to Congress and hold a people’s peace conference. Maybe some valley peaceniks will go. For more Fresno peace info: 559.237.3223. thank you Elfie for this picture....it lifts me up and gives me hope....the day after a horrible election. Too bad those who only look at the Fresno Bee will not see it. But for me,,,,I will print it out, enlarge it, and smile.
