Help turn the tables at Moscone this week on the Direct Marketing Association
http://www.globalexchange.org/getInvolved/bayarea.html# First Annual SF Direct Marketing Revenge Games! FREE Moscone and surrounds
1) Monday - Wednesday, October 21-23 Participate when and as you see fit!
The Direct Marketing Association is in town for its annual convention,
and ... It's time for the First Annual San Francisco Direct Marketing Revenge
Games! Tuesday, October 22, show up at the Moscone
Center between 4:30 and 5:30 or so and join your friends in giving away
(or back) as much as you can to direct
marketers! Be nice and pushy about it, because you know they like to be
that way with you. If a friendly offer of printed
material on your part doesn't elicit the desired acceptance from their
end, you might want to try yelling, another proven
Personal Direct Marketing technique!
2) Business Card Happy Hour!
Monday, October 21 through Wednesday, October 23, infiltrate happy
hours at likely establishments. Wear something
business casual and/or golf-related - you'll fit right in - and start
schmoozing! Make it a contest between you and a couple
friends - who can get the most business cards? Then, once you have a
Direct Marketer's contact information, do what they
do - share it! Go to the DMA Revenge Games bulletin board, at
http://pub49.ezboard.com/fdmarevengefrm1 , and post
any information you find. Then log back in to the same website in a
couple of days, "harvest some numbers" posted by
other contributors, and start calling! A lot! At inappropriate times!
Over and over and over and over! Bonus Points:
a) Cell Phone Bonus: Under the pretext of "catching up later," get the
Direct Marketer's cell phone or pager number ("I'll
call you when we know which strip club we're going to!"). Alternately,
get their hotel name and room number. Start
war-dialing around 3 AM.
b) Screw The Man Bonus: Make the aforementioned calls, long-distance,
on work time. share your I Ruined A Direct Marketer's Day stories at
http://pub49.ezboard.com/fdmarevengefrm1 -
