Republican Governor Candidate Switch - the latest fad hits CA is
Being forced to watch corporate news for protest coverage, I came across yet another sad statement on our 'democracy.'
The latest fad of switching candidates as a last minute gamble if polls indicate they are sure losers, has hit CA. NPR even did a negative story on this recently, citing the 'interpretation' of the laws by justices who are either republican or democrat - no other parties represented - and how they chose to keep the 'two party system of democracy,' as though there were no others.
Riordan is expected to be a write-in candidate and Simon will step down publically. Their polls apparently say he could 'trounce' Davis. He didn't even have to run. It's an incredibly sad state of affairs in this country and the state . . . .
Riordan is expected to give the word by the 22nd, the deadline. He'll have two weeks to run against Davis.
What a nightmare.
