Oakland Animal Shelter Abusing its Animals!
The Oakland Animal Shelter is blatantly abusing the animals it presumably protects.
A friend of mine works at the Oakland Animal Shelter and just reported this blatant animal abuse to me. About a month ago, the Oakland PD broke up a dog fighting ring in Oakland. On location were lots of dead dog pelts hung up on the walls and blood everywhere. They confiscated ten fighting dogs from the man running the fights. One of them was missing half a face and the others were beat up pretty badly. Instead of putting these abused dogs to sleep, as they should have, they kept them alive and in pain at the shelter. Then, about a week ago, the owner of these dogs comes in and threatens to get an attorney and sue the Oakland Animal Shelter for unlawfully taking his dogs EVEN THOUGH DOG FIGHTING IS ILLEGAL IN OAKLAND. The shelter director, Glenn Howell, is so scared of a lawsuit that he is going to give these dogs back. THIS CANNOT HAPPEN. These Pit bulls have already received so much abuse at the hands of this man(to read more about this amazing breed go to http://www.badrap.org) that to send them back to him is just disgusting.
Please call Glenn Howell at Oakland Animal Shelter and tell him that you know what is going on and that you won't stand for it. His number is 510-535-5605.(they will have to transfer you from the switchboard) He may try to lie about this and say it is not happening, but it is. This kind of thing happens often as the city doesn't want the bad publicity nor to spend time or money on a lawsuit.
Also please call your local tv stations, newspapers, and anyone else you know with any power in this area to not let this happen. we can make a difference.

Boo Hoo, the gladiator dogs are being mistreated. How many humans go homeless and hungry each night while you commiserate about a species of animal turned into man's slave? Face it, pets are domestic slaves serving as entertainment for humans incapable of the orginal thought required to use their own imagination for amusement. Get real. People's love for their slaves is about as deep as their love of their televisions. Pretty pathetic.

Gosh, what a mean guy. How could someone not love man's and woman's best friend? If I could get my Dobermans to give him a little *tough love* with hickies round his neck he would'nt be saying his animal cruelty stuff any more. He wouln't be saying ANYTHING any more.

HOLY SHIT THIS MOTHER FUCKER!! ITS NOT ANIMALS, its other animals. keep in mind that they are as human as us you fucker. they are even better than us. Exuse my language but i cant help it when people(aka:idiots) hurt other animals. We resently adopted a Great Dane with three legs and we have 3 cocker spaniels. They are not our entertainment. They are our responsability and our loving companions/family. At my house, we wake up as soon as the cocker spaniels called Scruffy, Fluffy, and Lollipop start barking. Unfortunetly since i live in a shit country, I can only keep them out until they start barking cause my neighbor that i rescued squirrels from is always calling the police on us cause our dogs bark. well, at least they dont go moooo:) Daisy Mae, our three legged Great Dane, would let us sleep late, she gets let out the same time as them in to our front yard with not complete fencing. She understands she cant go out of the front yard. She knows the my evil town will get the animal control (which i think there shouldnt be unless they take my gay neighbor) and get one of the long metal things and lock her in the shed again while in in school. I'm 12 years old. Well, im trying to say, dogs are not entertainment. thats not what they were breed for. People can help about if they starve or lose a job or a home.
Lose a home: they can find a job, not spend the money on booze, and buy a house
Starve: not spend their pocket money on booze like usual
lose a job: work harder next time.
A dog cant help it if he starves or loses a home. its the idiots fault (humans) about it. If the dog loses a job like pulling heavy carts like they used to do in a country i wont say, then its only a good thing for them to lose the job because they really dont get paid. I think i yelled at you enough.
