13/13/13

by Shunka (shunka_2002 [at] yahoo.com)
Over 13 women have taken to over 13 trees for at least 13 days...some plan to stay longer.
Here are some photos of the goddesses, as they take down the patriarchy...
img10.jpg
This is a picture of Prana, up in Marvelous, in the Freshwater 'shed.
The uprising of the goddess energy is unstoppable, and is replacing the ignorant, brutish, moronic ways of the patriarchy. The patriarchy is falling, and will be replaced with equality, peace, freedom, nurturing, sharing, caring, justice, and love.
The corporados can't even fully comprehend the revolution, much less stop it:)
More photos to come in the near future...

Yep, in violation of the Forest Peace Alliance and the new policy which was supposed to come out of the Gypsy wrongful death civil suit out-of-court settlement, Maxxam/PL fell several trees within feet of Prana.
I could hear Prana screaming on the other end of the phone, when her and her tree-sitting partner called to tell us that Maxxam/PL was falling trees within twenty feet of "Marvelous," the redwood which Prana is sitting in.
Obviously, Maxxam/PL has no respect for any kind of agreements, law, or order. Maxxam/PL cares more about their profit margin than they do about Life itself.
This kind of activity cannot be tolerated, and Maxxam/PL must be shut down, so that Hurwitz will sell the company, and a new PL can be reconstructed from the ruins that Maxxam has already left for us.
We want true sustainable forestry(1.No logging Old Growth, 2. Selective cut only, maintaining a multi-layered canopy, 3. A ban on herbicide use, 4. No logging on steep, unstable slopes), and government-subsidized restoration jobs, from the local, state, and federal governments.
Maxxam out of Humboldt! We want real solutions and real peace, in Humboldt, and around the world!
We will not stop until peace, justice, and sustainability are REAL!

Our sit in Santa Cruz is falling like a redwood tree. We have two sits, and need about ten times as much. Anyone willing to live in a tree in beautiful Santa Cruz County please come and visit -- the weather is much better down here than in Humboldt.

There's no need for a "but" there.
"But" is a poisonous word that was written into the English language to cause confusion and to backpedal.
It IS great, AND more people are needed in trees all over the world.
I love the weather in Humboldt, b.t.w.
I talk to everyone about their usage of the word "but," so don't take it personally; I just feel that AND is much more INCLUSIVE and is purely POSITIVE, whereas "but" has a negative connotation.
People of the Earth RISE and let's shut down these out-of-control corporations and governments and their agencies. We need to shut them down, so that we can start fresh and new. Their energy is old, out-of-date, stale, and poisonous, so let's take our power back, and free the land for all of Life.
With concern and solidarity,
Shunka
Aho! to the women up in the trees, and to the uprising of the feminine spirit! To the end of the patriarchy!
To the uprising of the Wakan!
Peace!

Once these women leave the trees, how to they intend to benefit? Will it be a book deal, public speaking, or will the strike a deal (sell out) to avoid the threat of fines and jail time for trespassing as one past famous tree sitter did?

Sheepdog,
You too fall victim to your 25 rules of disinformation (rule # 5) by name calling. Do you really know who I am or is that also part of your disinformation? Congratulations, there is a repeat, but maybe this time I can get an answer. It is easier to find the truth by asking questions, then by assuming.

If they get their big money after the tree sit?
Then we all can snipe at a stationary target.
The moron alert always occurs after an incoming
round of groundless implied accusation.
Sorry, I can't disable it.

"...patriarchy....evil patriarchy....brutish....patriarchy...blah, blah, blah.....patriarchy."

Get a grip, "sister." Your naive bleatings about "nurturing and sharing" are amusing at least. One wonders why, if women are so strong and good (and men, of course, so wretched), the "patriarchy" has been able to "oppress" women for so long. Surely such noble and strong creatures as women would be able to overcome stupid, brutal men????

Golly gee, I wonder if the fact that tying oneself to a tree seems a powerful act of defiance has anything to do with that?

You feminazis are all alike: mewling about how "nurturing and caring" women are, and how brutal and selfish men are, then in the same breath blaming all behavioral differences between the sexes on patriarchal oppression and "gender role brainwashing" or some such nonsense.

emotional basket cases, all.

Actually, I am a man, and I wrote that bit about the bunk nature of the patriarchy.
All I see, in a world run by men, is destruction and war.
We are re-defining what it means to be a man in this day and age, and we are supporting our sisters, the women of this day, and walking beside them in equality.
Being a good man, nowadays, doesn't mean being able to shoot a gun, or fall an Old Growth tree, or being able to beat people up. Today, in our upcoming generation, being a good man means protecting the Earth, being non-violent, having a good sense of equality and fairness, helping out those less fortunate, and not being afraid to be one of the less fortunate ones. Being a good man means feeling the pain of the Earth, and of the people in the so-called "third world," and being determined to do whatever it takes, within non-violence, to tear down the power structures, such as patriarchy, that keeps the Earth and her children oppressed.
The real men of this day are the non-violent freedom fighters, who are empowering the women to rise up to the front and take the lead, while we support them, whole-heartedly, and walk beside them, as equals, recognizing our common sacredness.
Rise up, goddesses!!!! The corporados will be shaking in their boots, as the moon rises with Truth!
