DC still jammed - GAP protest!
Excellent, negotiating to move the helicopter . . .
'Stop Gap sweatshops'
Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown was pretty well jammed this afternoon because of a protest at The Gap store that seemed to draw more media people and onlookers than demonstrators. Among a crowd of 300 people were about a dozen protesters carrying signs that said "Stop Gap Sweatshops" who stripped to their underwear. There were no arrests after the protesters agreed to wrap up the demonstration in 20 minutes if the police moved a helicopter so that the protesters could be heard.
