Eyewitness: Zionist Regime Behind Bombing of Jewish Center in Buenos Aires

TEHRAN -- The prime suspect in the 1994 bombing of a Jewish center in Buenos Aires said that the Zionists had offered him millions of dollars to declare that Iran had been involved in the case.

"They also offered me millions of dollars to declare that a few innocent Lebanese detained in Paraguay were involved in the case," Carlos Tejdin told the Argentine-based ****Clarin**** newspaper.

Tejdin said that Robin Braha, the former chairman of the Union of Jewish Organizations in Argentina (DAYA) and a direct liaison of the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires, had met him several times during his seven years in detention and told him that he would help win his release if he cooperated with them.

Braha was himself involved in the 1994 bombing of the Argentine Jewish center.

An eyewitness testified in a court hearing that he had seen heavy parcels, apparently filled with building materials, being moved from Braha's office to the Jewish center and that only a few moments before the explosion Braha left the building.

Immediately after the explosion, Braha, in full coordination with the Zionist regime, accused Iran of having been involved in the explosion, but the judge who was handling the case announced several times that Iran was not involved.

Argentine officials have announced that the explosions in the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires and in the Jewish center were internal explosions and that Israel military personnel immediately rushed to the site and tampered with the evidence.

Earlier, too, a Brazilian eyewitness disclosed that he had received money from Israel to sign a letter implicating Iran in the case.

Carlos Tejdin also testified in a court hearing last April that officials in charge of the investigation had offered him millions of dollars to implicate a few innocent Lebanese detained in Paraguay.

Despite all these facts, the ****New York Times **** reported on Monday that an Iranian defector told Argentine investigators that Tehran paid then president Carlos Menem 10 million dollars to cover up its role in the deadly 1994 bombing.

The timing of the ****New York Times*** report indicates that once again the Zionist regime is trying to externalize its domestic problems.

Although Tel Aviv is in a deadly impasse, it has not ceased committing atrocities against the innocent Palestinian people.

International pressure is mounting against the Zionist regime, which has not been able to put down the Intifada. Hence the Zionists are trying to influence world public opinion and distract attention from their atrocities inside Palestine.
