Richmond homeless shelters closing

IN DEFENSE OF THE HOMELESS

The City of Richmond passed a law that criminalizes
the homeless when they are sleeping in public.

Now the Board of Supervisors is going to put more
homeless in the streets of Richmond.

The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors
will condiser (Monday August 5, starting at 9 am)
the closing the Brookside homeless shelter, given
the current budgetary crisis.

Please call the members of the board of supervisors
and leave the message that THE BROOKSIDE
SHELTER MUST NOT BE CLOSED.

The meager 100 emergency shelter beds available
at Brookside shelter address a waiting list of 1,200
desperate people and should not be terminated.

The hostility of the city of Richmond towards the
homeless will make criminals of all of the homeless
trown back into the streets.

MAKE A FEW PHONE CALLS

Please make a few phone calls for the homeless sake.
CALL ALL THE SUPERVISORS
AND COME TO THE MEETINGS IF AT ALL
POSSIBLE......
