-00:45 Dennis: Settlers Rampage in Hebron, kill 14 yr old girl, Nevine Musa Jamjouma; and stab a 7 year old boy.. but the press gets it wrong. now w Christian Peacemaker Team (CPT) member in Hebron, Jim Saderhon: the mourners were gathering for a funeral.. some Palestinians on the rooftops watching.. the settlers told them to go home, they said they were home.. the settler threw rocks, and the Palestinians threw some rocks back at them.. in Ha'aretz today: Minister's aide calls Hebron riots a pogrom (against Pals) (link2).. then the settlers rampaged, broke into homes, stabbed a 7 year old boy.. firing wildly, we heard they were attacking.. got there just as the family of the little boy were running down to get the soldiers.. they came running up and we all arrived at the house at the same time.. I interviewed the mother, the aunt of the little boy.. he was in a different room, they hit him on the head with a rock.. then they stabbed them.. the mother took the other kids into another room.. there was no provocation.. whenever a settler is killed anywhere in the West Bank.. these settlers have been compared to the KKK in the US.. they are hate groups.. they rampage through the Arab neighborhoods protected by soldiers.. the worse incident of settler violence in a long time, but part of a pattern.. they overturn vegetable and fruit stalls, slam doors, throw stones at Palestinians in the market.. stone and kick CPTers.. AND today the settlers came in through the main road and started throwing rocks and beating people, including one of our members.. settlers shoot Palestinian kids when they throw rocks.. now w Ann Clausen of CPT.. Ann: we were having a team meeting this morning.. we heard a commotion.. went out, there were four settler kids throwing rocks.. we notified the soldiers, and went out to observe.. we say two settler women, boys throwing rocks.. we started documenting it all with a camera.. one woman started demanding the camera.. one woman demanded my camera.. they knocked me to the ground.. one kicked me in the legs, stomach, chin.. another woman hitting me with rocks.. another woman kicking me in the back.. CPT members came to help me, helped protect the camera.. the soldiers came and we got back into the house.. we continued to take photos.. a woman came back and from a distance of two feet hit me in the face with piece of asphalt.. the soldiers gently restained the settler women.. they were not arrested.. then 2 more settler boys came in and a settler man came into the market and threw stones at the few remaining merchants.. picked up one 5 year old boy by his ears, and threw him to the ground.. then the women came back at noon and wrecked the market.. the soldiers did not physically restrain them, talked to them.. Ann: I got a swollen chin, a bruised nose, bruises on my legs, and a stellar headache.. these attacks happen 2 or 3 times a month.. if the settlers want a curfew imposed, they attack and the soldiers order up a curfew for all the Palestinians.. that's what happened today.. about another shooting of a Palestinian boy.. illegal to use civilians as human shields.. but the soldiers did.. came into the house, let the son and mother go to the hospital, told the other family members they could not go to the hospital.. the father and uncle became hysterical and tried to run through the soldiers..
-22:30 Dennis: if you read the American press you'd read that the settler were merely responding to Palestinian stonethrowers.. Ann: I talked to a lot of Palestinians on the scene.. the settlers yelling at them to leave the roofs.. settler started throwing stones and tear gas.. one man said he picked up some of the stones and threw them back.. he was shot.. most of the water tanks were shot.. armed settlers marching with armed soldiers marching through a Arab neighborhood.. from 15-30 armed settlers went into the market area.. they're the ones who killed the girl and stabbed the boy.. website: www.CPT.org photos available of the last few days..
