Oakland City Council votes "Just Cause" on Nov ballot
Oakland's City Council voted to listen to what thousands of Oakland voters want and need by confirming that the "Just Cause" initiative will be on the November ballots and subject to voter approval.

A motion was made that this matter be Approved. The motion carried bythe following vote:
Votes: ORA\Councilmember Ayes: 8 - Councilmember Brunner, Councilmember Wan, Councilmember Nadel, Councilmember Spees, President of the Council De La Fuente, Councilmember Mayne, Vice Mayor Reid and Councilmember Chang
The following individuals spoke in favor of Items 22 and 22-1: - Andrea Cousins - Rev. Eastwood - Judy Goff - Phil Rapier - Monique Doryland - Bernardo Pandavenes - James Aiken - Bill Smith Agency/ Councilmember Nadel made a motion, seconded by Agency/CouncilmemberBrunner, to approve the report on Item 22 and adopt the resolution on Item22-1, and hearing no objections, all members present were recorded asvoting: Ayes: Agency/Councilmember: Brunner, Chang, Mayne, Nadel, Reid,Spees, Wan and President of the Council De La Fuente -8

A motion was made that this matter be Adopted. The motion carried bythe following vote:
