Fri. 7/12: Protest Corporate-media Disinformation in SF

"We demand that the U.S. media include international by-lines from Europe and other countries-by-lines such as Fisk, Monbiot, and Amira Haas--to counter the distortions of the US Government-corporate media Axis on the Middle East." (Network vs. Disinformation)

The Network against Disinformation (NAD) previously held a protest at the Chronicle on the 35th anniversary of disinformation surrounding the June 5, 1967 Israeli aggression that captured vast territory in Egypt, Syria and Jordan. The land Israel seized brought most Palestinian cities, towns and refugee camps in the region under Israeli military domination, and still remains under Israel's military as conditions of life become more and more unbearable and the real daily stories of terror by the IDF against the Palestinian people are censored.

On April 30, 2002 the S.F. Chronicle produced its 4 page pullout on Palestine-Israel. Unfortunately the large type lead-in provided another classic glimpse at disinformation, for instead of emphasizing or even pointing out that 3.5 million Palestinians are an occupied people without rights and subject to state terror every moment of their lives, the insert states, "The current strife between the Israelis and the Palestinians is a battle for control of land." (This shows how an actual fact can be used to mislead). Yet, almost every day now our e-mails report video tapings of tanks and assassins of the IDF targeting and murdering women and children as the U.S. Media censorship continues. Why is Israeli Government sponsored terrorism acceptable?

The N.A.D. URGES EVERYONE TO JOIN IN THE COALESCENCE OF A NATIONWIDE NETWORK TO EXPOSE CORPORATE MEDIA DISINFORMATION. WITH DIRECT ACTION. WE AIM TO INTRUDE INTO THE FORCED PASSIVITY OF CORPORATE PUBLIC DISCOURSE WITH CLEAR CONCISE TRUTHS AND GUERILLA THEATER ACTIONS.

N.A.D. joins other direct action organizations in a day of protest in San Francisco on July 12. Please attend out die in and protest in front of the Chronicle at Noon, Friday. Let Editor Phil Bronstein hear that his breaking a promise to meet with N.A.D. is energizing our efforts and providing evidence that his door is mainly open to Money, Oil and the Israel Lobby, but not to the American people or an ecumenical committee of Palestinians, Jews, Unitarians, Muslims and others.

Palestine is an occupied nation and an occupied land.
