Life at the Israeli Terrorist Checkpoint

by anarchist
A Palestinian woman cries as she is turned back at the Qalandia checkpoint in Palestine. For Palestinian civilians, the checkpoints are a daily terror which can result in arrest or even death. How would you feel if you had to pass through one of these checkpoints every day on your way to work? Israeli cars are marked with special license plates so that they aren't affected by this "inconvenience."

no kidding. These checkpoints are enough to cause any to go ballistic and they surely justify homicide bombings. Gosh, I didn't know the checkpoints causes frustration and crying... now I really understand the motivation driving Al Apsa Marty Brigands. No wonder. Gee whiz.

Wonder if toll booths and immigration checkpoints are going to cause Mexicans and others to homicidal too... I mean security and immigration control is so inconvenient to mischief.

Israeli people stays at home ´cause they have fear about terrorist attacks.
But they have food, water, electricity, and if someone kocks at the door, maybe it won´t be a soldier looking for all the men in the house, but a friend or a neighbour.
by intifada
No, dipshit. But sometimes Israeli's forget that they are at war. They wonder why all this violence is around them. In a war, you get fucking killed and blown up. Dont like it? end the fucking war. Don't invade foreign countries, don't get blown up. Get it, dumbass?

Do any of you idiots realize why there are checkpoints? Ask yourself why they have these? After years of terror by suicide bombers and gunmen wouldn't you want some way to check if people were coming to kill you?
by intifada
Can you explain why every political settlement that Israel has offered includes checkpoints in Palestine then?

Anyway, if you ended your apartheid ethnic cleansing, maybe people wouldn't be mean to you. When you try to colonize a peoples, they fucking fight back.

Enjoy your next bus ride, pig.

"Dont like it? end the fucking war. Don't invade foreign countries"

Please spread that message to the surrounding Muslim countries that invaded (or were massing to invade) Israel in 1967 and 1973...

Try this on for size:

Don't like it? end the fucking war. Don't invade foreign countries AND LOSE...

There were no checkpoints until september 2000, when the El-Aqsa war has begun. As a matter of fact, by that time 95% of palestinians lived under the PA rule and were not occupied by Israel. When suicide attacks started, the Israelis were forced to position checkpoints to prevent terrorist from moving explosives into Israel. I for one, would rather wait in a checkpoint rather be blown to bits by a suicide bomber while sitting in a coffee shop.

Yasser Arafat wanted to have his little war - he got it, and now his people suffer.

There has always been check points in the occupied territories. Not only check points but arrests, torture, and murder of Palestinians by Israeli occupation soldiers. This has been going on for over 30 years, it needs to stop.

by intifada
And let's not forget that the fat pig, Sharon, started this intifada with his disgusting provocations.

Phew... even palestinian propeganda agents should stick to the facts some times. There were arrests of terrorists, but no torture and no murders (besides settlers murdered by palestinians). There were also no checkpoints until palestinians begun the El-Aqsa war. Stop palestinian deception, stop palestinian propeganda machine.

And... how did exactly Sharon provoke the palestinians?
by intifada
... or are you just starting to learn about this conflict? If you are, I would suggest you dont take sides until you know what the hell you are talking about.

"but no torture and no murders"

Hahaha. Yeah, the Israeli prison camps are kind of like a retreat in the Hamptons, huh? You do realize that nearly every Palestinian male between the ages of 20-35 has been in an Israeli prison at some time in their life? Do you really think they are all "militants"? Don't you consider any kind of involuntary detention to be torture? Not to mention the "interrogation," do you think they just sit down to tea, and if the Palestinian person claims that they don't know anything about "terror" they just let them go?

As for Sharon's provocations, bringing an armed contingent into that part of town in the context of what was happening at that time was a clear provocation, everyone on every side admits it. It is surprising you have never heard of this, but of course, now they are trying to downplay it since the intifada he provoked is turning out to be a bloody mess.
