We believe that as people living
in the United States it is our
responsibility to resist the injustices
done by our government, in our names
Not in our name
will you wage endless war
there can be no more deaths
no more transfusions of blood for oil

will you invade countries
bomb civilians, kill more children
letting history take its course
over the graves of the nameless

will you erode the very freedoms
you have claimed to fight for

There will be a candle light march and pledge ceremony in Berkeley on
June 6th at MLK Park, 6pm.
The Not In Our Name Project is also in the process of drafting a
Statement of Conscience. We have had great success taking it out to
prominents and getting people to sign on to it. Hopefully the draft will be
finished soon so it can be published far
and wide!
Also if you can set up a presentation for us to present the project
please let us know ASAP!

Oh, my gosh, is this the same tanya who was taken from her wealthy parents and brought to us, to liberate us from boardom, to free the cheese, and look damn good with guns? Has she returned in some new form, armed to the teeth (with sentementality), and ready to shred the capitalist pigs into bacon, or worse yet bacon bits? We all wait with bated breath, can tanya rise again? When the world seems so desperate, nothing like a Stalinist answer to the questions that haunt and plague our tiny lives!

it might seem trivial to you, and your lot, but to bring back the ghoasts of revolutionary movements past, I thought, sniff sniff, that maybe there was some creative play goin on that maybe, like nestor makno, maybe there was some sort of freaky vibe to bring back things to the 60s, and then the not in our name would make sense, like in the name of Sinque or tanya, we act.
