The COLLAPSE of DARWINISM

Highly recommended for those in need of a good laugh.

In case you haven't heard the "Intelligent Design Theory" is just a new name for Creationism. Instead of God creating the universe it's an unknow as of it designer. The plan of attack is to take out the references to God, add it to the science textbooks and teach it along side of Darwinism, so it won't be an obvious violation of the seperation of church and state in public schools. Ohio's Board of Education is considering including it there and a vote is expected in June, I believe.

I have taught biology courses several times, and it is important to realize that many religious people can and do accept the mountain of evidence supporting evolution. Religion and natural biological processes exists within different, mostly nonoverlapping realms, and I think it is largely an illusion that evolution vs. christianity exist on opposite sides of the same debate. scientists and religious leaders use different methods for answering questions, and different ways of approaching a 'debate' - actually, scientists are not supposed to 'debate' things in a political sense, but rather they list evidence and discuss how the evidence should be interpreted (evidence can be acquired via experiment, or observationally, as is often the case in astronomy, geology, evolution). Really, they are commenting on different things. Culture is the reason why leaders of branches of world religions tell their people that evolution contradicts their religious books. Evolution is just as much the commonly accepted agricultural breeding of animals and plants as it is the macroevolutionary ideas about the origins of life.

Yes, evolution is accepted as fact. Yet, ponder this:

In Russia, scientists have discovered a stone slab with inscriptions and 3-D reliefs dated to be 120 million -- that's right -- 120 million years old. The slab is made up of three layers, the top layer of which depicts in three-dimensional relief the outlines of the Ural mountains.

X-ray analysis of the slab reveals that the topography of the stone relief of the Urals could only have been created by some kind of sophisticated technology -- some kind of machine. In short, it was not carved by hand.

Further, in order to depict the Urals in this three-dimensional relief, some kind of aerial mapping would have first been necessary.

The US military is working on mapping the world in three-dimensional relief, and is expected to achieve it sometime in 2010.

Now, if evolution exists, why in the world was mankind able to forge a radically accurate three-dimensional relief of the Ural mountains 120 million years ago, something we are only just beginning to accomplish?
