BERKELEY, Calif. -- The University of California at Berkeley has reinstated a pro-Palestinian student group suspended after members occupied a campus building.
School officials sent members of the group, Students for Justice in Palestine, a letter Monday informing them of the reinstatement but warning that further violations of university rules could result in more disciplinary action.
The group can once again set up an information table on campus and reserve classrooms and rally time on the main gathering ground, Sproul Plaza.
Last month, 41 students and 38 others were arrested during a sit-in at Wheeler Hall, a classroom building. Disturbing the peace charges against them are pending.
