On Tuesday May 7th activists took direct action occupying the Oakland Federal building with a lockdown and banner hang.
The occupation lasted from late morning until early evening when the activists were cut out of their lockboxes, removed from their poles and were arrested.
The arresting officers used pain compliance holds while arresting the activists... this can be seen in pictures.

Finally some real action out of the SF Bay Area. Thank you! I had begun to give up hope.
Speaking as a card-carrying Libertarian, impeding "business as usual" at the federal building is an ENTIRELY appropriate and justified tactic. Shut the fuckers down and make them answer to us for a change!
And to the human banner gal atop the pole - baby! You go girl!
I love the damage done by the fire truck too. Had a protester done that with a sledgehammer or his own vehicle, there'd be hell to pay. But of course the Oakland FD can do all the damage they like.
