Isn’t McKinney the same lunatic who back in October wrote an America-bashing letter to Saudi Prince Alwaleed trying to get her grubby little paws on $10 million in Saudi money that Rudy Giuliani had turned down.

Now it turns out in an examination of McKinney’s donor list has found "that 21 percent of her financial contributions of $101 or more came from Arab or Middle Eastern-connected individuals and organizations, including the American-Muslim Council and the Council on American/Islamic Relations, both of which maintain ties or have expressed support for terrorist organizations."

The Washington Post notes that McKinney issued a statement conceding that "I am not aware of any evidence showing that President Bush or members of his administration have personally profited from the attacks of 9-11."

She also penned a whiny op-ed in the Washington Post in which she claims to be the victim of censorship. "I have been attacked for speaking. I am heartened by those who have defended my right to speak."

McKinney wouldn't know free speech if it bit her. Criticizing people for saying or writing stupid or wrong things is not a violation of free-speech rights but a celebration of them. Ms. McKinney thinks she's a hero for saying unpopular things. But a bad idea doesn't become a good one simply because it is unpopular.

The fact is, a surprising number of ordinary Americans agree with Cynthia McKinney ... they just don't have the ridiculously monopolistic access to the media and political system her opponents have.

It's interesting that not one of her character assassins mention any facts while ridiculing her brave request for a thorough investigation of September 11th. It's almost as if they deny the very existence of facts, or the importance thereof. Much is being made of McKinney's admission that there is no hard evidence of government complicity in the September 11th attacks, ignoring the fact that the FUNCTION of an investigation is to produce that evidence. There are certainly enough inconsistencies in the official version, and extremely suspicious FACTS, to warrant a full investigation. Then, there is the oddly urgent request by the Bush administration that no such investigation occur.

The rationale put forth by opponents of a full investigation cite the divisiveness of the issue and the potential chaos that would result should we find out our government places no special value on American lives. What they're not considering is that the attacks of September 11th provide the moral imperative for an unending war that most people would not otherwise support, as well as the shredding of the Bill of Rights ... which is patently unAmerican as it would have been understood by those who first shed their blood for this country ... and which greatly benefits the Bushes and Cheney's of the world, both immediately (massive profits for defense industry contractors like the Carlyle Group) and in the future, when the WEF, IMF and WTO replace, for all practical purposes, sovereign governments. (Before you scoff at that last remark, please think about what it means when a trade organization (WTO) can declare a sovereign nation's trade policy illegal. If you can't make your own laws about what you import, you're no longer a sovereign nation.)

Simply relying on emotional cries of "disloyalty" and "treason," as well as name-calling and specious references to grassy knolls, McKinney's critics hope Americans don't wake up from their mass-media-hypnosis to ask about the unclaimed $2.5million jackpot from suspicious "put options" on United and American airlines, placed just days before planes crashed into the WTC towers.

They hope Americans will continue to do nothing as the Bill of Rights is trashed, leaving us with "privileges" instead of rights ... that we won't realize those privileges won't protect us from a flagrantly corrupt government ... the same type of government the Founders bore in mind when crafting a set of rights to allow people at least a chance of actively resisting such large scale corruption.

They hope we will be sufficiently cowed by unsupported allegations of nuttiness, both from the right-wing and what we can only hope are government operatives on the left. That not enough people will want to examine the facts for themselves ... the fact that members of the Bin Laden family were shuttled out the US via private jet on September 13th, 2001 ... the FBI having been repeatedly ordered to back off investigation of the Bin Ladens, the family who invested so heavily in GW Bush's first failed business endeavor, Arbusto ... the fact that Osama Bin Laden was trained by the CIA in our attempts to undermine Russian control of Afghanistan, thus is without question an admitted CIA asset ... the $237 million made in stock trades in one day by the Carlyle Group within months of September 11th ... all the money flowing to the world's Bushes and Cheneys via companies like the aforementioned Carlyle Group from this unending "war on terrorism" ... they hope we're not interested in the fact that the Bush family's fortune was amassed from collaboration with the Nazi's during WWII ... and the moral vacuum that implies.

They hope we will just sit back in our easy chairs and watch the bought and paid for evening news ... or shoot ourselves in the foot by continuing to fight amongst ourselves for the scraps. Odds are they won't be disappointed.

Cynthia McKinney is to be commended for risking everything to buck those odds. Little people of the world, support her while you can.

There's a deep thinker for you: in summary, "The fact that there is no evidence is the very reason there should be an investigation." Just think of all the investigations we shold be having based upon this logic(?)!

If all this is true, court out the evidence. You know, it's not that hard for McKinney or Mike Ruppert to convene a Grand Jury to look at whatever evidence they have to see if it should go forward. You can convene a Grand Jury for any reason. You make not get anywhere with it, but if you have evidence of a crime and you're not doing all you can to make the evidence known, that in and of itself is a crime, not only on the law books, but to all mankind. So, if they have evidence, they need to come forward.

That last paragraph says it all, brother! I challenge any supporter of Ruppert or McKinney to refute it! And if (as I expect) none can, then this whole 9-11 gov't conspiracy hogwash is debunked right now. It's all smack talk and bovine fecal matter so let's get on with bigger and better things.

I agree Gerry. Join us in demanding that Mike Ruppert and/or McKinney convene a Grand Jury to see if the evidence they have collected is enough to go to trial. They need to either put up or shut up. Same goes for you. You're either demanding they present their evidence to a Grand Jury or you apparently are not in favor of a full investigation; the same investigation that a Grand Jury could order.

The idea that McKinney or Ruppert can convene a grand jury is more preposterous than ant "conspiracy theory" you can site. A grand jury can ONLY be convened by a prosecutor.

Of course, facts are inconvenient to those that are more comfortable being spoon-fed their beliefs.

Even if we make the most conservative interpretation of 9-11 (that the government was caught off guard by jealous fanatics out to destroy our way of life), and assume no wrong doing on the part of the Bush Regime, a few critical questions still remain:

1. Why has Bush prevented and then obstructed a meaningful investigation of 9-11 in every possible way.

2. Why is Bush denying Americans official access to what they largely already know about Saudi connection, namely that several prominent Saudi business people and government officials funded and contacted some of the 9-11 terrorists.

3. Why is Bush attempting to reclassify publicly available documents such as the FBI's Phoenix memo and Minnesota Field Office memo, both of which prove that domestic intelligence investigations that could have prevented 9-11 were thwarted and suppressed by the highest levels of government?

4. Why doesn't Bush simply deny that two of his companies, Arbusto energy and Harken energy were funded at various times by the Bin Laden family through proxies such as James R. Bath (provided 5% investment in Arbusto for Osama's brother-in-law, Salem bin Laden), and Khalid Bin Mahfouz (got Saudi millionaire Abdullah Bakhsh to bail out Harken Energy in 1987 by buying a 17% interest)? Do you understand what I'm saying? If Bush has NO CONNECTION to these people in this manner, why not order his press secretary to issue a one sentence statement to this effect?

5. Why is Bush denying funding for Homeland Security, the office he setup immediately after 9-11 ostensibly to protect us?

6. Why is Bush cutting back the number of sky marshals at the very same time that his regime is warning us of possible new al Quaeda attacks on air craft.

Don't bother trying to find any connection between Bush and the hijackers (although there are plenty) and don't bother to point out how he and key members of his regime were so unresponsive on the day of the attacks that many wonder if they were complicit in them. Just look at Bush's post 9-11 performance. No investigation, no protection, no denial of incredibly damning evidence, nothing.
