Rally for Israel Wednesday at the Town Clock

In an effort to show public support for Israel, concerned citizens are joining together on Yom Ha'Atzmaut, Wednesday, April 17th, from 11:00am., to 2:30pm., at the Town Clock in downtown Santa Cruz (Pacific Garden Mall).

Please join us for all or part of the time. Santa Cruz County needs to know that the people of Santa Cruz support Israel.

What better time to stand for Israel than on Yom Ha'Atzmaut (Israeli Independence Day).

Celebrate Israel Friday night, April 19th, at Temple Beth El's Ruach Shabbat/Yom Ha'Atzmaut service, at 7:30pm. there will be special music, Israeli dancing and an Oneg Shabbat.

Israel Emergency

We have been told by our friends in Washington that the White House is receiving very significant numbers of emails protesting President Bush's strong support for Israel. It is of the utmost importance that we show our support for the President's pro-Israel stand. This is especially important now, with the pressure coming from the Arab nations of the middle east and the dispatching of Secretary of State Powell to the region.

Please:

1. Pass this on to all your Jewish and pro-Israel email lists.

2. Write a short, personal email to the President -- Have the Subject line say something like "Thank you for standing with Israel." Ask him to continue strong support for Israel's security. President Bush's email address is:

Every email sent to the White House is read and counted.
