vote for Al. Cty judge Goldstein
This is a message about Michael Goldstein, active as a listener in the efforts to free KPFA.
To Alameda County voters concerned with judicial integrity:
This is a message about Michael Goldstein, active as a listener in the efforts to free KPFA.
Michael Goldstein is running for judge of the Alameda County Superior Court, and his name will be on the ballot in the March 5th primary. A 1973 graduate of Stanford Law School, he is now Deputy State Public Defender, arguing death penalty appeals.
Michael Goldstein has training and experience in counseling and mediation. He is running as a qualified attorney and as "a person who will bring both my mind and my heart to the bench."
For 19 years California's governors have appointed as judges only people who favor the death penalty. It is unusual to be able to elect a judge, and Michael Goldstein's candidacy is a chance to bring greater equity to the bench.
If you are an Alameda County voter, or know Alameda County voters, or would simply like the thousands of people who will eventually pass through a judge's courtroom to face a human and open-minded jurist, please help spread the word
Please also consider sending a contribution, if possible.
