this conference, held in munich, germany since many years, deals with arms sistems and war planning. past years saw rather smallish protests against it. now this year a big movement against it mobilized to munich, with the result that the council put a complete ban on public protests, rallies, marches and and and...

now munich is a rather conservative quiet city in the most conservative part of germany which made it a lovely surprise to see that despite the ban and several thousand of extra police transported into town from all over germany about 5-10 000 protestors gathered in a completely peaceful protest against war and against the abolition of our right to speak out publicly.
