Bush's Boys Boost Billions for Bombs

Sooooo, concerned about your country being “at risk”? Concerned that your “freedom’s at risk”? Well sure! Aren’t we all! However, the source of the risk seems to differ according to who’s doing the talking. Secretary of Defense (we used to call it Secretary of War ), Donald Rumsfeld recently used those very words to justify a $48 Billion increase in the U.S. military budget, THE largest increase in two decades. That’s just a piece of the $2.13 TRILLION budget the Bush regime is foisting on the people of the United States. Tax –and-spend liberals? No way! These guys are red-blooded all-American patriots! When it comes to welfare for the military-corporate complex, no handouts are too great. You say we’ll have a $80 Billion deficit this year? You say we had a $100 Billion deficit last year? So what! You’re safe aren’t you?? You got a problem with cuts in environmental programs? You think job training for our nation’s youth is important? WHAT ABOUT YOUR FREEDOM??
Never mind lunatics crashing full jetliners into high-rise buildings aren’t actually an assault on your freedom. Never mind that there’s far less risk to you now than there was during the entire Cold war when the U.S. and the Soviet Union were fully prepared to nuke the planet into inter-stellar dust! That’s fuzzy logic. Those dark-skinned people are CRAZY! They’re not like us. They place no value on life….like we do. And furthermore, those un-American, terrorist-loving whiners who imply that the risk to our nation is really coming from assaults on our own Constitution by God-fearing men like John Ashcroft or the Office of Fatherla…er…Homeland Security should go back to…um…Afghanistan? Or wherever! Jeez! Goddamn card-carrying liberals! Don’t know a risk when it’s staring them right in the face, by God!
