WAR IS A RACKET link

by Steve Wagner (lakemerrittneighbors [at] yahoo.com)
With all the new movies glorifying past wars in preparation of future ones one military hero is never mentioned.
United States Marine Corps Major General Smedley D. Butler is the only American military man who was awarded not one but two congressional medals of honor. But somehow we rarely, if ever, hear of him.

That, of course, is because Butler had serious second thoughts about what it was all about, and spent the rest of his life opposing war. He published a short pamphlet that seemed to sum everything up with just the title: WAR IS A RACKET.

Butler's pamphlet is available on-line at http://www.lexrex.com/enlightened/articles/warisaracket.htm or through the WAR IS A RACKET link at the new LMNOP web-site at http://www.webwm.com/LMNOP
