Is the Homeless Issue Hopeless?

San Francisco, CA – San Francisco residents will have a chance to express their concerns and ask questions of Supervisor Newsom at The Forum at Grace Cathedral, Sunday, February 17th, 9:30-10:30 am.

The issue of homelessness in San Francisco is a systemic problem that has divided the city for years. The recent proposals by San Francisco Supervisor Gavin Newsom attempts to improve the lives of the homeless while making San Francisco a more livable and appealing city for residents and tourists. However, many people feel these proposals are cruel and illogical.

The Very Rev. Alan Jones, Grace Cathedral’s outspoken Dean, hosts this community town hall program, which is free and open to the public. The Forum at Grace Cathedral is an open and inclusive environment that raises critical issues and showcases intriguing guests.

While many people attend The Forum at Grace Cathedral, the live audio webcasts have built a solid core audience. As a live radio show, The Forum webcasts extend the civic conversation to a larger community. Internet users are able to participate beyond the walls of Grace Cathedral by listening and e-mailing responses at http://www.GraceCathedral.org.

Upcoming Forum guests include: Thomas Moore best-selling author of "Care of the Soul", April 22nd and Jane Goodall, acclaimed primatologist and environmental activist, May 12th. For a complete listing of upcoming Forums please check the events section at GraceCathedral.org or call 415-749-6360.

Grace Cathedral is a house of prayer for ALL people.
