TV show: What Happened on 9/11?

As to the events of September 11th, in my view there are some questions yet to be asked, and that's the subject of my commentary this week

For 4 months I've been waiting in vain for the North American media to pursue questions about the startling events of 9-11.

Here's what I want to know:

The multiple hijackings are unprecedented. The first occurs at 7:45 in the morning. It's a full hour before the first plane hits the WTC but it's an hour and 20 minutes, and after the second plane hits, that the president allegedly becomes informed. Think about that

Then he gves no orders, why? He continues to listen to a student talk about her pet goat, why?

It's another 25 minutes until he makes a statement, even as flight 77 is making a beeline for washington DC. In the almost 2 hours of the total drama, not a single us air force interceptor turns a wheel until it's too late. WHy?

Was it total incompetence on the part of air crews trained and equipped to scramble in minutes? Well, unlike the us air force, I'll cut to the chase:

Simply to ask these few questions is to find the official narrative frankly implausible

The more questions you pursue, it becomes more plausible that there is a different explanation, namely that elements within the top US military intelligence and political leadership, which are closely interwinded, are complicit in what happened on September the 11th.

Why US complicity? you ask.

Well, to stampede public opinion into supporintg the so called war on terrorism, to justify a war on afghanistan for a future oil pipeline, to grab for Middle East oil and big budget increases for the military and the general drive for global dominaton by the american empire.

I know it sounds incredible, but here's some historical context from this book, "Body of Secrets". Its author is James Banford. Banford until recently was Washington investigative producer for abc's world news tonight with peter jennings. I learned of this book on abc's website.

Banford's information comes from interviews with for instance the former dean of the US intelligence community and from govt documents. It takes 80 pages to list Banford's more than 600 information sources

It's 1962, JFKennedy is US president, Robert McNamara is sec of defense, and Admiral Lyman
Lenmetzer heads the US Joint Chiefs of Staff

the cia has failed in its illegal bay of pigs invasion of Cuba.

JFK decides, Banford writes, to back away from military solutions to the Cuban problem but Lenmetzer, the CIA, and others at the top remained obsessed with Cuba, writes Banford

as the kennedy brothers appear to [.. Lenmetzer thinks] "go soft on Cuba"

Lenmetzer could see his opportunity to invade quickly slipping away
attempts to provoke the Cuban public to revolt seemed dead.

continues Banford, Lenmetzer and the other Joint Chiefs knew there was only one option left that would insure their war, they would have to trick the American public and world opinion

Lenmetzer comes up with "Operation Northwoods". We could blow up a US ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba. Casualty lists in us newpapers would cause a helpful wave of national indignation

we could develop a communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities, and even in washington

An elaborate variation:
create an exact duplicate of a civil registered aircraft.
the duplicate would be loaded with selected passengers all boarded under carefully prepared aliases. The actual registerd aircraft would have been converted to a drone, a remotely controlled unmanned aircraft -- the destruction of that aircraft would be triggered by radio signal
-- the Cubans would be blamed.

Finally another variation is described by Banford:

on feb 20, 1962, John Glenn was to lift-off from Cape Canaveral on his historic journey.

Lenmetzer proposed that should the rocket explode and kill Glenn, ... the objective is to provide irrrevocable proof that the fault lies with Cuba by manufacturing various pieces of evidence which would prove electronic interference on the part of the cubans

thus Banford notes as nasa prepared to send the first American into space, the Joint Chiefs of Staff were preparing to use John Glenn's possible death as a pretext to launch a war

The Operation Northwoods plan shows the Pentagon was capable, according to Banford, of launching a secret and bloody war of terrorism against their own country in order to trick the American public into supporting a war on Cuba.

Can we be sure therefore that complicity by the Pentagon in the events of September 11th is entirely out of the question?

Perhaps *we* should be the ones posting the extra guards, in case you Americans decide that Canadian back bacon is a terrorist plot of some kind. 8)

Has anyone else noticed how the moles have been on a COINTELPRO blitz lately. Just putting the "anti-terrorist" BILLION$ to good use eh fellas?!?!

some comments from someone who knows the Pentagon layout, etc. (the Pentagon is a huge place):

The appointee's offices are opposite to the place where the plane struck. The Pentagon has five floors and ten corridors. There is also a five acre open courtyard in the middle. Let me take you on a cyber-tour. The plane hit on floors one and two and between corridors two and three. the pentagon also consists of five concentric rings beginning with the A ring closest to the courtyard and ending with the outer exposed E ring. Obviously, the plane struck the E ring. It did major damage to E and D, with less major damage in C. So most of the damage was to offices on the Ist and 2nd floor with 200-300 D and E addresses. For instance, 1E250 was demolished. .

Most of the Pentagon elite are exactly opposite and also buffered by the open courtyard. For instance, I believe Rumsfeld's office is 4E787. I think the SECAF is 4E944. All have River views and views of the Washington Monument. All of the appointees have parking spaces at the River Entrance and were in no danger. Most of the offices affected were high level Navy and Marine offices. This is not to say, lower ranking Generals and Senior Civilians were not affected. Also, the Pentagon is a crummy place and is undergoing major renovation. People are being moved all the time and a part of where the plane hit was recently renovated and reinforced. This is why relative to the WTC, the damage was not as devastating. Also, it is true that some people were moved a week or so prior to the attack.
