Fall Creek Timber Sale Reduced to 29 acres

by Derrick Action
Fall Creek timber sale has been reduced AGAIN!!

Update on the Tree-sit at Fall Creek

New information has come in reguarding the Clark Timber Sale(home of the Fall Creek Tree Village)The sale has now been reduced to 29 acres due to wildlife buffers being created as a result of efforts by Fall Creek activists to collect data documenting the presence of Oregon Red Tree Voles. The data collected by activists forced the US Forest Service to create the buffers in most acres of the sale, and this, combined with over 3 years of direct action has managed to hopefully save most of the forest.Fall Creek activists are demanding a complete cancellation of the sale, with no replacement volume or trades as a result.Activists continue to occupy the forest and trees at Clark.More updates soon. For more info, and to read the text of the new information report go to http://www.tree-sit.org Be sure to insert the hyphen between tree and sit.
