Dissent Is Not Un-American
Dissent Is Not Un-American

This past December I was walking by City
Lights bookstore, the first all-paperback bookstore (books for the
people, founded in 1953 by Lawrence Ferlinghetti) and noticed it had hung
these posters to remind us what this country was founded for.
They read: "<b>Dissent Is Not Un-American</b>"...
<blockquote>
Those willing to give up a little liberty for a little security deserve
neither security nor liberty.
