Outrageous anti-American video released on 3-month anniversary of WTC attacks
The Church of Euthanasia has just released a four-minute music video titled "I Like to Watch," which explores connections between the voyeuristic news coverage of the September 11 attacks, professional sports, and pornography. The themes are woven together, and shown to be interchangeable forms of mass entertainment.
I'm writing to bring an interesting free speech case to your attention. The Church of Euthanasia has just released a four-minute music video titled "I Like to Watch," which explores connections between the voyeuristic news coverage of the September 11 attacks, professional sports, and pornography. The themes are woven together, and shown to be interchangeable forms of mass entertainment. The video is likely to be supressed in the near future, for several reasons:
(1) It makes savage fun of Americans in general, and the current epidemic of patriotism in particular. In the most extreme shots, a giant penis ejaculates on the Pentagon's tongue, a tongue licks the tower as it's being penetrated by the plane, and an American flag is used to wipe up sperm.
(2) Almost all of the source material is copyrighted news footage. It can certainly be argued (correctly) that the video is a statire, and therefore qualifies for a fair use exemption, but that won't necessarily stop the news media from taking legal action. On the other hand, they may be deterred somewhat by the
potential for greater publicity.
The video is currently being hosted by IIC Internet, but it's unclear what commitment IIC has to free speech, if any. If the wrong people hear about it, the video will come down in a hurry, and stay down. To watch the video online, go to this URL:

Note that the video contains adult content.

Football, if failing to civilize modern man, at least served to distract the blood-thirsty mobs from their older sport of turning dogs loose on helpless outsiders (where "outsider" could be a racial, religious, sex orientation, gender, linguistic, or even just minute geographical division.)
Violence as entertainment, that's what it is. Through no fault of the NFL or its athletes, this blood lust is a common thread throughout the lower 90% of humanity.
America can't stand to look itself in the mirror. It's a sick society that rallies to destruction, and inevitably only elects and enthrones destroyers.
"People do not get the government they desire; they get the government they deserve."

Any cruelty is justified against someone who has committed that same cruelty against another without cause. Reap as you sow.
If America's suffering from 9/11 is on par with being raped, it still begs the question before we pass judgement: had America already raped the rapist? 3,000 American civilians dead? Alright, but how many Iraqi civilians have we killed with "sanctions" to keep civilian infrastructure (like water sanitation facilities, and sewer systems) from being repaired? How many Iranians have we killed since our CIA put the murderous Shah of Iran in power decades ago?
America is no innocent.

p.s. C'mon FBI, come "interview" me as a "disloyal terrorist sympathizer"!
Now for the two specific issues I have with the posts.
1) by Barb Dwyer December 15 2001, Sat, 12:35pm
It is rather cynical to claim how evil America is based on the mass murder by some filthy Afghans. Only an asshole would call a rape victim an evildoer.
For starters, the terrorist on the flights that attacked the WTC and Pentagon were not Afhani. To be specific, they were Arabs from Saudi Arabia and Egypt. If you look into the ethnic groups in detail you will find Afghani people are NOT Arabs and they will tell you as much. Furthermore, the majority of Al Queda in Afghanistan are in fact from other countries and not Afghani. The Taleban leadership, while primarily composed of Afghans, were the product of refugee camps and Arab influence in Pakistan. Specifically, the Pakistani Intelligence Service played a major role in "training" them and influencing them prior to their rise to power. That is why Pakistan was one of only three nations that recognized them as a legitimate government.
With that said, even if Barb had used the term "filthy Arab" her statement could be taken out of context for the simple fact it appears she is stereotyping. You can't judge an entire population based on the actions of so few.
2) Spider's comments.

Spider is just as guilty of stereotyping as Barb is. Take a look at your comments. You are saying the American people as a whole are guilty of your perceived injustices by the government. In your statement my friend, you are saying that YOU and every other American are as guilty as the rapist. You are an American aren't you?
I am stereotyping? Not so. The broad brush with which I paint this guilt is the forgotten flipside of representative government.
After Clinton bombed Kosovo, every Democrat who helped put him in office bore innocent Serbian blood on their hands. Now, every Republican who voted for Bush has innocent Afghan blood on theirs. They helped put these people in power. They appointed these creatures to ACT IN THEIR NAME.
Now, it can be argued that, for example, Clinton exceeded the authority of his office when he continued the bombing of Kosovo after the 3 month Constitutional limit without a Congressional declaration of war. Thus voter liability would cease at that point. Except for one problem.. as Clinton continued the campaign, how many former supporters demanded Clinton's resignation, much less his impeachment and prosecution for war crimes? I wasn't hearing any.
I have NEVER voted for anyone who was later successfully elected to either the White House or Congress. Therefore, I bear no blame for their crimes. How many Americans can say the same? Can you?
Even if I had helped put them in power, I sure as hell wouldn't have condoned their crimes through silence, much less re-election. I would have accepted responsibility for their crimes, because they would be *my* crimes for my having helped put such evil men in power.
Personal accountability is a forgotten concept in this country. Thus its continuing decline.

> I also don't buy the argument that since we paid
> taxes, and that money was used to commit
> atrocities, that we are guilty. We don't pay taxes
> willingly. We are extorted
True, our taxes are extorted. Even the war hawks would be less bloodthirsty if you gave them the option of receiving some or all of that portion of their "taxes" taken to fund our trillion dollar war machine.
But when that exorted money is used by our President, our Congress, or any of their myriad minions with our blessings, we still contribute to the problem. When we fail to hold our leaders accountable later on for their decisions or those of their underlings, when we fail to reign them in, we set our own complicity in stone.
If you put a guard dog in your yard and it bites the neighbor's kid in the yard next door, you can't talk your way out of ultimate responsibility for the actions of your agent.
