Protest against Gov. Davis sitting on AB 60, legislatively passed bill
which would require all residents to have drivers’ licenses.

California Gov. Grey Davis has been ignoring AB 60 for several months. That’s the bill requiring all drivers to get licenses. Right now undocumented workers cannot get drivers’ licenses. This is a safety and a human rights issue. Unlicensed people are now driving around endangering themselves and all the rest of us. Davis had until mid October to veto the bill. He didn’t. So now it must be law. Yes¿? No¿? Who knows¿? To remind Davis that this grey area should be switched to green, a crowd of immigrant rights folks demonstrated at the Fresno state building.
