As we reported yesterday, Live365 has lost it's bandwidth due to issues with it's service provider. According to an article published today on Cnet.com,
Cogent Communications, a national data telecom carrier that provides broadband services
to Live365's ISP, said it shut down the unnamed service provider Monday. The service was suspended to the ISP for repeated violations of Cogents acceptable use policy citing repeated spamming of material that may be considered "offensive". The spam complaints could not be confirmed as coming from Live365.
Live365 is currently attempting to negotiate with alternative service providers,
but due to the volume of traffic they support their needs are not going to be met easily.
Despite this setback, Partytown Streaming Network continues to broadcast via Real Player.
Some of the programming we are happy to feature on the Real Player stream includes,
Between the Lines, The Shortwave Report,
Free Speech Radio News, to name a few.
If you have programming you would like to submit to be broadcast here, please email
or visit the web site at
peace and warm wishes this Holiday Season.
