Waging War Against Dissent

by National Lawyers Guild Seattle (justicescholar [at] yahoo.com)
AN UPDATE FOR THE BUSH II REGIME Nov 29 2001
Waging War Against Dissent 2001
The Seattle National Lawyers' Guild WTO Legal Group has updated and
re-released their substantive report on post-WTO militarization of law
enforcement, and the increasing linkage between corporate hegemony and state
violence. Read the full report.
This is the Second Anniversary update of Waging War Against Dissent, originally written to enlighten us about what happened in Seattle on N30, along with historical background. This is a .pdf file. Highly recommended reading about the institutional nature of oppression. I am just a forwarding source. I found the original while researching a thesis on D2K. this is related to the title of this article. Look at this piece in the SF Chronicle which really distorts the philosophy and history of anarchism. They are using a list of anecdotes, some not involving anarchists at all (some nut celebrating Charles Manson??) spread across several centuries to pretend to prove that anarchists are highly prone to terrorism (and implying that individuals from other political philosophies aren't more prone to acceptance of violence?) It deserves a letter to the editor.
