Imperial Stormtroopers Guard G20 in Ottawa

As is just about anything of a mechanical nature that comes from Germany (coffee makers, washing machines, BMW's, etc...)
They probably wouldn't feel compelled to carry these had previous protests not gotten totally out of control with resulting injuries (on both sides of the protest) and massive property damage / vandalism. Remember: If there is a situation or event that has the possibility of becoming violent, the police are not going to bring hardware to simply 'even the playing field', they will bring enough to give them the upper hand...

Let's also remember that the state will crack down on any movement that is successful at disrupting business as usual.

If there were never police at these protests, it would mean we aren't doing our job. It would mean no one cares and it has no impact.

Every successful movement has built beyond public shows of military force by a retreating state entity. And we will, too.

Cops show up to non-violent protests and beat the fuck out of innocent people. The police are not your friends and aren't there to protect you. People do what they must when they feel the unbareable weight of the repressive governments smashing their hopes and dreams. We don't need government and corporations to support or create a false reality for us. Go live in the forest and defend the trees! Stand up for the weak, innocent and the loving. Dont work for the man, let the system fall under its' own weight. Follow your heart!
