Ottawa Heating Up: SF Activists Detained

Things are already heating up in Ottawa as American activists are detained by customs and several deported. Including a SF activist.

In Ottawa this weekend activists are gathering to protest the World Bank and IMF. Several American's have already been detained by Canadian Immigration at Ottawa airport. San Francisco Activist "Starhawk" was detained for five hours while her travel partner is being deported. Two American medic trainers where also told they could not enter Canada at the Ottawa airport.

San Francisco IMC volunteers are in Ottawa to bring you news from the actions as the activists reclaim the momentum against corporate globalization through non-violent and direct action tactics.
