PG&E faces grassroots backlash
PG&E is spending millions, but the ferries of popular wisdom are out and about
Oct. 18, San Francisco - Last night the Elves of Energy Efficiency took action to point out that the \"No on F & I\" campaign is mostly financed by the party that would be most affected by these measures - PG&E itself. Signs reading \"Paid For By PG&E\" were graciously applied to PG&E\'s purple sign. \"They are spending millions to keep the voters confused and decieved, but we say \'Let it be known ... The People will Prevail and PG&E\'s lies will be exposed,\" said special elf, Muddy Potters. \"They can buy politicians, they can plaster pretty signs everywhere, but they cannot block the sun and they cannot fool the locals.\" The sprites appeared in San Francisco at a key time when the people are faced with a decision to reclaim their public utility and bring it back under local control.
