Thousands of refugees were crossing the Afghan border into Pakistan on Thursday, carrying their wounded from Kandahar along with their possessions, reports a foreign news agency.

KABUL: Seven passers-by were killed on Thursday when a bomb hit an ammunition dump in Kabul, raising the death toll to about 70 in just 24 hours of U.S. strikes on the Afghan capital and Kandahar, said a report quoting witnesses and officials.

The dead included local shopkeepers and pedestrians.
