Far fewer bombs dropped than we think?

by Marcus Warren / UK Telegraph
According to a British reporter currently in Afghanistan, the Northern Alliance is actually underwhelmed by the paltry scale of American attacks and the Taleban are only finding encouragement in this.
Makes one wonder: is Uncle Sam keeping the cameras out just to hide the fact that they're holding back? Maybe Shrub is waiting for the Afghan winter, to then justify a lengthy and expensive military campaign.

I'm curious what the anti-war movement has to say about this. It seems like anti-war chooses to ignore this news, because it leaves them with much less to protest.
by interpretation
first of all, your corporate media crap doesnt get any weight here. do you know how easy it would be for a powerful hawk to get a story like that printed? or who knows why with who knows what motivation.

additionally, there are more interpretations than the one you just gave. what is being said is that the "noble" northern alliance which the u.s. wants to do its dirty work is not getting the right kind of help from the u.s. in other words, the u.s. wants NA people to die and go fight the taliban and present a political threat to their regime, but on the other hand, won't do what is necessary (and what they could do) to cause fewer NA deaths in the process. it is another example of the U.S.'s continuing foreign policy of manipulating and strongarming people in the world, and it is exactly the kind of policy which armed, funded and trained the mujahadeen.

duh.
