Rather was standing in the shadows of the triple underpass bridge, a few feet from one of the concealed shooters. Rather was the only one on the planet to be able to verify that JFK had been mortallywounded as the Presidential motorcade passed right under Rather's view. MacNeil was in the Book Depository Building and was in a position to see
Lee Harvey Oswald and give false data. [According to an FBI document of 11/29/63, the Elder Bush, already then in the CIA, was part of an apparent cover up of the assassination of JFK.]
