Stop The Spying/
Stop The Hysteria
Protest Training of Spies In SF
By CA Army National Guard

Thursday October 25, 2001 6:30 PM
Karate One, 2001 Van Ness Ave. SF

In an article on October 1, the San Francisco Chronicle reports that a sergeant with the California National Guard's Military Intelligence Battalion in San Francisco will be "training people as special agents" to spy on people in San Francisco. We believe that this campaign to get people to start spying on their neighbors and workmates must be opposed. Working people have no interest in supporting a "war hysteria that targets people who think differently than the corporate controlled media and their military cheerleaders.

The growing hysteria and the efforts by the politicians of both political parties to eliminate our democratic rights must be challenged and stopped in it's tracks. In fact, this government itself has been involved in training "terrorists" like Bin Laden all around the world. Our arming of Bin Laden and his supporters with Stinger missiles and other military hardware is another example of "who" is partly responsible for this crisis.
We must also protest the role of the FBI in investigating Women In Black and other organizations who have nothing to do with any terrorism but have been opposing the terrorism by the Israeli's and the illegal use of US weapons to bomb civilian populations and assassinate alledged terrorists. The attacks on Arab Americans, Muslims and Siks because of their nationality or religion is part and parcel of Bush's "good versus evil" mentality.
Please join us when we let sergeant Ken Weichert know that we oppose this growing attack on our democratic rights.
