by Lee Siu Hin
Tell Bush: NO MORE INNOCENT VICTIMS;Stop the Bombing.
Protest President Bush's visit to Sacramento
Wednesday, October 17th, 11:00 AM
Memorial Building, 1515 J Street Downtown Sacramento
Contact: e-mail: marla [at] globalexchange.org or call: (415)255-7296 x 250

Tell Bush: NO MORE INNOCENT VICTIMS;Stop the Bombing.

Bush will address the California Business Association at 11 am on Wednesday,
October 17, and will then go to Travis Air Force Base.

Join citizens who want to draw attention to the devastation that the US
bombing is causing the Afghan people. We will have large photographs
depicting the human suffering and calling on Bush to stop bombing innocent
Afghans, and creating unwilling martyrs for the terrorist cause.

Following Bush's remarks to the Association, those of us who can will
proceed to Travis Airforce Base to continue the protest there.

Since you are going to be showing Bush large picture of human rights abuses and suffering, please include the following picture of children killed in the war on terrorism:

After all he is an American, and this is America's fault, so he deserves to pay.

But he's not alone. There are some other imperialistic Americans who need to be punished. Let's not forget:

Not to mention all those 11 year olds that were going on a National Geographic trip to California. What the hell gives them the right to walk around with impunity?

fter all, this was our fault, and we need to make ammends.

So, Ryan, how many Afghanis have to die of starvation this winter to set the record straight? 100,000?? 1,000,000??

http://www.PeaceNoWar.org What a shitty website.

You are entitled to your opinion. Go wave your signs and pictures. Nobody gives a fuck! Your protests may have received some attention and support in the past, but alot of things have changed since Sept 11th. 90% of America supports this. Out of the remaining 10%, only a small fraction would support your extremist views.

In short, FUCK OFF!

In spite of the mainstream media's inflaming people in this country to extreme idiocy and faking up the stupid 90% polls through bullshit questions and repeating the result at top volume over and over, people I am in touch with across the country are upset about this war and the innocent loss of lives, no matter what country the innocent people are in. What's more, it is obvious that this stupid war is putting Americans more and more at risk for hideous retaliations. You think bombing will make you safe? You think the rest of the world can't continually hatch up a new brood of terrorists? You really think it's possible to keep on top of that? SICK.

Yeah, what are you doing here, why aren't you off signing up to combat the Taliban mano a mano.

What a GREAT web site. Thanks!

I love it that you guys GO NUTS when I post the pictures of the children who died in the World Trade Center Disaster, and dare to suggest that they be given equal weight to those children who might be affected in Afghanistan!!!

I love it!!

And further, the inane comments-- "mainstream media faking up the 90% polls"; "you should go fight the Taliban mano a mano" etc...

Who has told you (anywhere) that we WANT to kill innocent children in Afghanistan? Note that "WANT" is the operative word here.

no one is saying that what happened at the wtc wasn't horrific. the point people are trying to make, is that more violence, and more killing, isn't the answer. the tragedy on 9/11 cause some people to have more compassion for the loss of innnocent life everywhere, including afghanistan. that does not mean we are belittling the lives lost in nyc, in contrary, we are saying that life is precious - let's not cause anymore horror and destruction.

"4000 more children under five are dying every month in Iraq than would have died before US sanctions were imposed. Over the 11 years that these sanctions have been in place, 500,000 extra children under five are estimated to have died." United Nations Children's Fund, UNICEF. Why does Denis Halliday, Former UN Assistant Secretary General 34 yrs service, Hans Van Sponeck, Top UN humanitarian official 30yrs, Jutta Parghart, head of World Food Program in Iraq, 15yrs all resign in protest to sanctions in Iraq? Because as Denis puts it, "We are in the process of destroying an entire society. It is as simple and terrifying as that. It is illegal and immoral."
I'm a Gulf War Vet, who has seen this destruction, If Americans really knew what is done in there name they would be appalled.

BUSH IS THE TERRORIST!!

The Cycle of Violence will never end until there is real Justice. First stop the mindless bombs, Second change Foreign Poilcy.

why there are UN sanctions on Iraq in the first place. Remember the rape and pillage of Kuwait and the subsequent war to liberate the country from the grip of this brutal regime? Maybe that had something to do with the UN decision to sanction Iraq?

And you make the leap that these sanctions are the reason that Iraqi children die? Or do you think is there a guy named Saddam and those that suppor thim that just might have something to do with it?

Stop blaming the US for evils perpetuated by others.

By the way, they are UN Sanctions, not US Sanctions. Using your warped mathematics, you would need to divide the Iraqi deaths by all the Nations supporting the sanctions-- not just the US. But then, attribute all of them to the leadership of Iraq.

Yes, I'm sure that most of your acquaintances are American hating degenerates like yourself.

quote: >>"Yeah, what are you doing here, why aren't you off signing up to combat the Taliban mano a mano."

I am in the military, so chances are I may be fighting the Taliban; defending all the rights that you enjoy. There is alwas a place for dissent. But enough with the protests and nasty America bashing. This is not the time for it. You are dishonoring all those that are going off to defend America, and all those who have died in the past defending the rights that you abuse.

How many innocents in THIS country need to be killed for you to get a clue? 6? 6000? 6 million? 240 million?...

by Tired of idiocy
The UN santions were adjusted years ago to allow for humanitarian relief. The only problem is the money didn't reach the people, it went for other purposes. Stop lying about this country. Read something besides Chomsky and the Nation. Get a clue. Please. And don't bother calling be a corporate fascist.

The sanctions in Iraq was a successful US policy. The goal was to starve the Iraqi people into submission. The US prefered a weak Saddam over an unpredicable situation with the Kurds in the north and the shia in the south revolting against him. This isn't a secret but rarely covered in the media--in last weeks New Yorker Joe Klein brings it up in an article of his. This policy may change because of current eventsbut so far its been very effective. Anybody in the region who has any ideas independent of the US knows what they can expect.

If anyone is interested looking up Professor Thomas Nagy/ Iraq on google.com----you can see his report and the documents that show the US intentionally destroyed the Iraqs water supply in violation of international law and Geneva convention.
