Violence only brings more violence
We either strike back, VERY HARD, or we will keep getting hit in the nose.
With all of this talk of impending war, many of us will encounter "Peace
Activists" who will try and convince us that we must refrain from
retaliating against the ones who terrorized us all on September 11, 2001.
These activists may be alone or in a gathering.....most of us don't know
how to react to them. When you come upon one of these people, or one of their rallies, here are
the proper rules of etiquette:
1. Listen politely while this person explains their views. Strike up a conversation if necessary and look very interested in
their ideas. They will tell you how revenge is immoral, and that by attacking the people who
did this to us, we will only bring on more violence. They will probably use many arguments, ranging from
political to religious to humanitarian.
2. In the middle of their remarks, without any warning, punch them in the nose.
3. When the person gets up off of the ground, they will be very angry and they may try to hit you, so be careful.
4. Very quickly and calmly remind the person that violence only brings about more violence and remind them of their stand
on this matter. Tell them if they are really committed to a non-violent approach to undeserved attacks, they will turn the
other cheek and negotiate a solution. Tell them they must lead by example if they really believe what they are saying.
5. Most of them will think for a moment and then agree that you are correct.
6. As soon as they do that, hit them again. Only this time hit them much harder. Square in the nose.
7. Repeat steps 2-5 until the desired results are obtained and the idiot realizes how stupid of an argument he/she is making.
8. There is no difference in an individual attacking an unsuspecting victim or a group of terrorists attacking a nation of
people. It is unacceptable and must be dealt with. Perhaps at a high cost. We owe our military a huge debt for what they
are about to do for us and our children. We must support them and our leaders at times like these. We have no choice.

Thus has the Arab world retalliated against America's continual punching of Palestine.
Oh, Im sorry, were you pretending that America is the innocent victim? How many American Congressman and Presidents vote every year for "foreign aid" to fund Israel's ongoing military conquest of Arab land? And how many "innocent" Americans have voted for those politicians, putting them in office?
In fact, how many have voted for *any* politician - because even a vote for the loser is also a promise to accept the winner. Acceptance of a *represenative*, is acceptance of responsibility for the actions of he who represents you. Thus does Palestinian blood pour back through the ballot box onto American hands.
Violence is only a means to an end. It is justice that brings peace, and injustice that brings conflict.

You can't stop the 'cycle' of violence with talk.
And, if you think we're to blame because of past wrongs, I can point out an equal or greater number of wrongs committed by others against the US and the West throughout history (Ottoman Empire invasion of France inspired the Crusades for instance). Stop blaming the victim-- that will end the cycle.
You know, now that I think about it, I'm not a hippie at all. Now I'm reasonable.
out
Also, consider the magnitude of the actions. The terrorists killed over 5000 civilians in the Sept 11th attacks. The US in its focused bombings has created some civilian casualties. 20 here, 4 there.... And that info reported by the Taliban is completely unsubstantiated as of yet. Even at that rate, it would take a hell of a long time for Afghanistan to experience 5000 civilian deaths.
Oh yeah, almost forgot. The US is dropping food and contributing money to help the starving people of Afghanistan. What did Afghanistan or the terrorists do for us after we were attacked. Not a fucking thing.
Maybe the US is not perfect, but there are many worse governments/countries in the world. Consider yourself lucky to live here.
Chile, Panama, Grenada, Philipenes, Cuba, Haiti, Syria, Russia, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Saudi Arabia... the list goes on and on and on. Places our government has stuck their ass into whenever they might have something to gain. Unacceptable!
And anyone who thinks that being against the bombing of Afghanistan means that person must support the Taliban needs to do some serious thinking.
No one except the Taliban wants the Taliban to stick around - or the Northern Alliance. They are disgusting, horrid killers, and being against war doesn't mean we support them.
Everything doesn't have to be black and white. There are other ways of settling this. Do some research on the Nuremberg Trials - the US *CREATED* a war crimes tribunal so those people would be accused, convicted, and punished in front of the world. Why is war the only option? There is no excuse for what these terrorists have done, just as there is no excuse for destroying Afghanistan.
Investigate ALL facts - not just the ones that make you feel better about what's happening.
peacenik! But in no small part it is also meant to be a serious argument against the
anti-war message. The biggest problem with the argument made above is that it sets up
what's known as a "straw man." A "straw man" is a misrepresentation of one's opponent in
ludicrous terms that makes him easy to prevail against [notice the target's a guy here - I
guess the author doesn't intend to hit women or kids - don't they need to be taught a
lesson, too?].
What makes the protester character in this posting a "straw man?" All too conveniently, the
peace protester does exactly what serves the author's purpose. First, the protester moves
to land a punch of his own in an apparently hypocritical move. Bad, silly, inconsistent peace
protester! Second, eventually the protester conveniently "understands that sometimes it is
necessary to punch back." Wow, you convinced him! Third, the protester is mostly mute,
only getting sentence fragments of statements out, while the person confronting the
protester gets to do quite a bit of talking with his or her fists.
As anyone who's spent any time listening to (rather than punching) peace protesters
knows, there are actually a number of types of peace protesters with a number of belief
systems who would react in a number of different ways to someone trying this "punch a
peacenik" strategy out. Perhaps the author of this chain e-mail is simply ignorant and
hasn't actually ever talked to a "peacenik." And we also know that peace protesters are
talky sorts (sometimes even too talky), not blank and mute slates.
Let's remedy those problems, shall we? First, we'll imagine the encounter repeatedly, each
time with a peace protester harboring a different motivation. Second, we'll listen in a bit
more on what each protester might actually say during the encounter. Third, we'll let the
protesters' motivations inform what actually happens at the end. Ready?....Roll'em!

FUN AT THE PEACE RALLY: PUNCHING THE PRAGMATIC PEACENIK
When you meet a pragmatic peacenik...
1. Approach "ignorant moron" talking about "peace" and saying that there should be "no
retaliation".
2. Engage in brief conversation; ask if military force is appropriate.
3. When he says "No," ask, "Why not?"
4. Wait until he says something to the effect of, "Because this would just cause a vicious
cycle of more innocent deaths, which would piss off a huge number of poor, desperate
young people, who would form the next generation of terrorists to attack us all over again."
5. When he's in mid sentence, punch him in the face as hard as you can.
6. When he is about to punch you back, point out that it would be a serious mistake and
contrary to his values to strike you, because that would "be awful and he should not cause
more violence."
7. Wait for him to pledge not to commit additional violence.
8. React with surprise when he says, "I'm not a pacifist, you turd! Sometimes retributive
violence is appropriate. But bombing an already-bombed out country is just plain stupid if it
results in even more violence inflicted upon us over the next 30 years. Following a path to
justice through diplomacy, economic development, police action and criminal trial will
probably achieve our goals more efficiently in the long run."
9. Cry like a baby when he and his pragmatic peacenik (but not pacifist) pals wrestle you to
the ground, call the police and charge you with assault.

FUN AT THE PEACE RALLY: PUNCHING THE PESKY ANARCHIST
When you meet a pesky anarchist...
1. Approach "ignorant moron" talking about "stopping the war" and saying that there should
be "no U.S. military action."
2. Engage in brief conversation; ask if military force is appropriate.
3. When he says "Not now," ask, "Why not?"
4. Wait until he says something to the effect of, "Because the U.S. military stands for
multi-national corporate greed that stands in opposition to human needs..."
8. React with surprise when he punches you right back in the face instead, screaming:
"You weren't listening, were you, you blithering idiot! Who the hell do you think I am, some
namby-pamby pacifist? I'm not going to let you get away with your fascist bullshit..."
9. As you move to punch him in the face again, harder this time, watch anarchist's pals
approaching you with fists clenched.
10. Feel boot hit your gut, hard.
11. Repeat step 10 until you cry "uncle" and understand that the anti-war movement is not
completely composed of peace-loving hippies.

FUN AT THE PEACE RALLY: PUNCHING THE PRINCIPLED PACIFIST
When you meet a principled pacifist...
1. Approach "ignorant moron" talking about "peace" and saying that there should be "no
retaliation".
2. Engage in brief conversation; ask if military force is appropriate.
3. When he says "No," ask, "Why not?"
4. Wait until he says something to the effect of, "Because this would just cause a vicious
circle of more awful violence. I do not believe in committing acts of violence, and I do not
want any more committed in my name."
5. When he's in mid sentence, punch him in the face as hard as you can.
6. React with surprise when he doesn't move to strike you back.
7. Point out that it would be a serious mistake and contrary to his values to strike you,
because that would "be awful and he should not cause more violence."
8. React with further surprise when he agrees, saying: "I do not believe in committing acts
of violence. I accept the risk of being a victim of violence in this world and choose to live
with hope. We're all going to eventually die anyway..."
9. When he's in mid sentence, punch him in the face again to "teach him a lesson."
10. Listen as he staggers to his feet and asks, "Why are you doing this? I'm not harming
you, I'm just using my right of free speech to express what I believe. You're acting just like a
terrorist..."
11. Again, punch him in the face as hard as you can, harder this time. Come on, teach him
that lesson.
12. Listen carefully as he crouches on the ground and gasps, "All right, you got me. But I'm
not going to hit you. All you can do to me is hit me again. Look at yourself. Is this the kind of
person you want to be?"
13. Punch him again and again, waiting for him to understand that sometimes it is
necessary to punch back. Keep punching as he refuses to hit you back. When he is
reduced to a pulp and collapses into silent unconsciousness, wipe your bloody knuckles on
his shirt and walk away, hoping nobody saw what you did, knowing you had to be right.
nessie is correct. And aggravatingly so, because I want some fucking revenge.
And... You all make me laugh. You all assume you can beat the shit out of eachother. Here's the deal gents; In a streetfight I would batter ANY of you into oblivion and I would start with the cop, even though he is a pretty funny motherfucker.
Plus I know Karate...heeeeeeee-ya!
Here's a question...since when did "Indy" become associated with being a commie, pinko, pussy? When I was a punk rocker in NY back in the late 70's, early 80's...we LIKED violence. Remember slam dancing?
I guess the black bloc anarchist types like violence. That almost redeems them. Except that they are retarded. And silly.
"I come not in peace but with a sword."
-Jesus Christ
I slamdanced once at a Danzig concert and almost fell down. Some fuckers had thown ice in the pit! Can you believe it? I learned my lesson!
I listen to Blink182 now sometimes and rock out in the car. Does that count?
I don't know about that karate though...
Tell you what, start cross-training hard in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and you'd have a chance.
To the NYPD, the firefighters, Manhattan and the drunken Irish. *clink*
Actually, I often agree with the lefties when they are rational and have reality firmly in mind...they mean well, at least...well some of them do...but when they start with this mastrubatory, robotic banter...holy shit...it's hard to take.
I know a lot of these people are young, and are being misled by unscrupulous professors and other weirdos, but I still reserve the right to fuck with them. I mean the fucking 60's are over...punk rock killed it with it's big fucking dick.
The End
One thing you gotta remember is that, if Al Queda had more potent weapons, and had a method of getting them over here, they would likely have used those assets already. If the World Trade Center buildings had collapsed immediately _after_ the attack, we'd be looking at a death toll of 25,000-40,000 people. That's what our friends were shooting for. If they could have done a better job, they would have.
If Al Queda had a backpack nuke, they would have probably deployed it. All it would have taken would be to send that over in a shipping container filled with enough lead, metal or water to mask the radiation from satelite or other observation... then detonate it in the harbor of a large American city. That would have been a far more effective way to maim the US. And how many shipping containers do you suppose get moved in a day, in port cities on both coasts and in the Gulf of Mexico?
The best they seem to be able to do now is try to spread anthrax, which takes more than just direct contact with the agent - it requires someone to inhale a large number of spores deep enough into your lungs that your cillia can't expel them before they germinate. So this is a relatively inefficient way to harm us seriously.
As I'm typing this, I see that someone just opened up a box of white powder in an Airplane and dispersed it. Probably not a friendly gift from a Columbian cartel.
So my opinion- Al Queda is probably already doing its very worst, and they are not likely to stop for any reason. I don't think things are going to get any worse if we continue to strike back. This is already a worst-case scenario, especially because our attackers have already accepted death... to them, existence is simply the delay before they take their final action.
And that should scare you more than anything... that human beings can reject the commonness of humanity and the human condition and become martyrs for death. The technology by which they carry out this aim is just a footnote.
This commonness of humanity, is in many ways what the left stands for. This is why we reject attempts to demonize the enemy and justify civilian casualties. This is why war is abhorrent to us. We also assume, that despite differences in language, culture, race, class, gender and belief systems, the entire world understands that human beings share a common experience and hence common rights and a common cause.
These people do not share those values. Therefore, I don't think the usual assumption that de-escalating unilaterally will work here.
-Arti
Agreed. As for their current terrorist efforts, I give them a D+. I barely feel terrorized anymore. I just shake my mail to make sure there's no powder in it.
Note to self: Stay the fuck away from ST mosh pits.
