Islamabad, Oct 9, IRNA -- The United Nations has temporarily suspended its rlief operations inside Afghanistan citing security reasons,
reported Radio Pakistan.

Quoting a UN official, the Radio said that the operations have been temporarily suspended due to security reasons in Afghanistan following the US and its allies attacks.
<br><br>
The relief operations will be immediately resumed after normalcy returns to the country, it quoted the UN official as saying.
<br><br>
Meanwhile, as many as six planes from Japan carrying relief goods have landed in Pakistan.
<br><br>
Relief goods, including blankets and other items to be distributed among the Afghan refugees in the country, were handed over by the Japan's envoy to Pakistan to the UNHCR officials, it noted.
