Feinstein Proposes Ban On Student Visas: Protest Tuesday
Tuesday there will be a protest against Feinstein's proposed bill to ban student visas for 6 month. The protest will be at One Post Street (near the Montgomery St. BART station) and will start at 5 PM.
Feinstain is proposing a bill to ban visas for international students for six months. This could effect over 100,000 students and would severely impact many departments at schools like UC Berkeley where a majority of classes are taught by foreign grad students. Xenophobia will do nothing to reduce terrorist attacks and foreign nationals should not be scapegoated with this type of legislation.
Call Feinstein's SF office to express opposition: (415) 393-0707
You can also call her DC office (202) 224-3841 and talk to her legislative staff (Camille Camacho and Lavita Strickland)
