10,000 people gathered in Delores Park in San Francisco to unite against war and racism…http://www.indybay.org/antiwar/

You know, I was there I have been in many large demos. There were NOT 10,000 people there and I find it very wrong for folks to dream that there were and not be more real.

This kind of ego-inflating shit got George Jackson and other 60's revolutionaries killed.

Tell the truth and stop dreaming. Yes, it was a great crowd...of about 5-7,000. No more, no less.

Not telling the truth hurts our struggle and doesn't bring anyone into the movement.

Please repeat after me:
I will no longer use the educated guess method of crowd counting.
I will use only the corporate media monopoly method:
I will make an educated guess at the crowd size and then - IF THE BOSSES APPROVE of the event - I will increase the count by at least 25% - IF THE BOSSES DON'T APPROVE of the event - I will decrease the count by at least 25%.
When activists publish crowd counts arrived at by unapproved methods I will pretend that I am part of the "movement" and tell them that they are "not telling the truth", that they are just "ego-inflating", that they are "dreaming" - I will do this in order to "hurt the struggle", to inspire future undercounts, to keep my bosses happy.
I am now a certified crowd counter.
Hoorah!
