Canadian anti-war update

This is a far from complete list of activities in canada and quebec that i know about.

Within days of Sept. 11 most major cities saw the rapid rise of anti-war anti-racism peace coalitions and committees.

Many vigils for peace were held within days.

There have been a series of rallies and marches in montreal. Last saturday saw two marches that according to the press numbered 2,000 each.

In Halifax a meeting at a local University saw 400 attending. In Toronto meetings have drawn between 200 and 300 at both organising and political meetings about the looming war and how to fight racism.

In vancouver there are regular vigils and have been sizable rallies.

On Sept. 29 there will be rallies. marches and walks for peace, global justice etc.. in Montreal, Toronto, Halifax, Quebec City, and Vancouver.

The response to resist the war has been rapid and is growing.
